For 52 years, the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs event an ideal opportunity to network, renew contacts and friendships, and discuss ideas and trends in all aspects of the fire service with members from across the globe.

“It’s where you’ll find some of the most important fire chiefs in the world, both past and present,” said Erik Hanson. “This conference offers world-class educational, health, strategy and business sessions about metropolitan fire and rescue concerns. The Leadership and Innovation you find here is exemplified through many generations of international fire and rescue administration.”

Co-hosted this year by The Orlando Fire Department and the Orange County Fire and Rescue Department, activities take place over the week, while vendors and suppliers, such as US Digital Designs, showcase products and services unique to our industry.

US Digital Designs has always been proud to support this conference, and are (once again) a Gold-Sponsor.

The conference program is filled with speakers, presentations and discussions that will drive our continued success as leaders.

About the Metro Fire Chiefs event

Founded in 1965 at a meeting held during the IAFC convention in Miami, FL, the purpose for forming the Metro Committee was to “Address particular problems of large-city fire departments that were becoming increasingly complex…” One of the committee’s early goals was to promote the establishment of a National Office of Fire Defense. This office was to have two primary goals: (1) To obtain federal money to aid cities in obtaining needed equipment; and (2) To create a National Fire Academy.
